For Gunjan, having grown up in Mumbai she considers it her safe haven. It’s her maayka where she has grown up before moving to Varanasi due to the untimely demise of her mother. But as she visits the city after a while, she feels uneasy about her safety as she moves around. While she is heading back to the airport at night she is being stalked by two men. Fear sets in and she is uncomfortable about being followed by these men. She reminisces about Mumbai being very safe at night where she roamed around with her friends at night without a care in the world. That peace and safety no longer existed. It disturbs her a lot and she decides to do something about it.
Says Roopal, “I think it’s a great track and currently given the situation of women in the country is very relevant. Gunjan comes to the conclusion that women need to learn self defense in order to safeguard themselves. She makes her mind to work towards including ‘self defense’ as a subject in the school curriculums.”
This track will be played out from next week onwards (23rd September onwards). Keep watching Sapne Suhane Ladakpan ke every Monday to Friday at 7 30pm only on Zee TV!
